Position Description
Skyline Retirement Community has immediate full time Med Aide position. Would be working the night shift from 10pm to 6am.
Primary Purpose and Job Function:
This is nonsupervisory nursing work involving the delivery of medications and assigned treatments to residents in a long term care facility. Work involves providing routine geriatric nursing services in assigned areas; serving as a member of a health care team performing functions commensurate with education and scope of practice; providing care to residents including administering medications and skin treatments as assigned. Supervision is received from the RN/LPN with work being reviewed in the form of the effectiveness of services provided. Direct nursing assistants according to policy/procedure and standards. Works in the dual capacity of nursing assistant and medication aide. Willingly assist the cna when needed.
Education/Training:
Must have complied with all requirements of the State of Nebraska Medication Aide Registry and be listed as active and current. Comply with all requirements to remain active and current during employment with Skyline. Must have a current State of Nebraska Medication Aide license.
